In this capstone workshop, participants will explore the NGSS both for content (DCI) and Science and Engineering Practices as the guiding principals for redesigning their existing curriculum. Participants will collaborate on revisions to traditional activities and instruction, and develop their own activities to meet the Performance Expectations described in the NGSS. Particular emphasis will be placed on developing instructional strategies that address the specific learning needs of students who have traditionally been underserved by the current instructional landscape.
