Electromagnetic Spectrum and Satellites: Designing Antennas for Satellite Reception
Review radio theory applied to antennas. Design and build a 1/10 scale model of a Yagi antenna for receiving weather satellite transmissions; use it to explain how electromagnetic waves are received. Obtain and use other satellite technology centered lessons. Grades 9-12
